And Isn't That A Blessing.

From Hope for Today, page 66:

"One of the reasons this program works so well is that we don't all experience our insane times at once."

and:

"Recovery cannot occur in isolation. Together we can accomplish what we cannot do alone."

    My wife, Peggy, and I were at Sober Retreats in Ixtapa a couple of years ago and there was a guy playing folk songs by the pool. My favorite was a song with the chorus "Thank heaven we're not all crazy...on the same day."

    I read this too. Since my "old" pattern was to isolate, and since I still want to do this at times, it struck home with me. Truly we can't do this alone.
