I am so glad for this wonderful report! You are so right--a different viewpoint can change everything! I don't think you will want to post this, but just in case it might encourage you personally, I was visiting Dallas, TX and went to church with my son and daughter-in-law. Their pastor (Matt Chandler) was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor 5 years ago, and went through 18 months of chemo and radiation after having the tumor removed. He shares his journey in a video blog at this site https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL77381A2A9F5E984C and I was mesmerized by his story and his HOPE. He looks strong today, passionately enjoys life, pastors a huge church, and shows no signs of ever being sick, though he will have to get brain scans for years to come. Like you and me, his story involves Recovery and he has encouraged so many others, just as you have encouraged your readers. If you like hearing about other survivors and their stories, you might enjoy watching these video posts from 5 years ago, knowing you can make it too. So happy for the great news for you. There will be more chapters in your wonderful story! <br />Much love,FloridaLizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06087157867666659062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969377097750640088.post-64265150724550093042014-06-24T11:53:34.084-07:002014-06-24T11:53:34.084-07:00Oh, man. The importance of second and maybe even third opinions, the differences between the outlooks of surgeons and oncologists--reminds me of something in alanon along the lines of, I see things not as they are, but as I am. The surgeon certainly has a limited view, and the other doctor's astonishment tells the whole story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3969377097750640088.post-35891835104761508902014-06-21T20:43:01.397-07:002014-06-21T20:43:01.397-07:00Checking in on you, SO dis-heart-ening to encounte...Checking in on you, SO dis-heart-ening to encounter a so-called "healer" (surgeon) like that. She is going to visit her sister tomorrow about 6 hours away and she drives herself. The attitude of living with cancer is helping many people live longer lifes. I'll look and see if any of them are writing blogs.
